Internet Access Riverbed Technology has launching Stingray, a new
product line of devices that include one-ended WAN optimization,
application delivery controllers, Web application firewalls and Web
content optimization. The products in the new family are Stingray
Traffic Manager, Stingray Web Application Firewall and Stingray
Aptimizer. Traffic Manager is an application delivery controller
that comes as either software running on a hardware platform or as a
virtual appliance that is designed to perform global load balancing
of traffic among servers, manage bandwidth, shape traffic and
monitor service levels. Stingray Web Application Firewall can be
deployed by itself or as an add on to Stingray Traffic Manager.
Finally, Stingray Aptimizer software optimizes Web content for
applications being delivered to devices that don't support two-way
optimization. With an Aptimizer deployed on Web servers, content is
formatted to reduce load times for pages and to use up less network
bandwidth. Call Centers
